Masters Level Counselor

Masters level licensed counselor with substance use disorder experience to work in a 90-day Intensive Residential Treatment facility. Must have experience with substance dependent and dual diagnosis clientele, group facilitating, integrated and mindfulness based approaches to healing. 90-day residential treatment experience preferred. Primary Counselor Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Reports to the Program Director
Participates in program delivery, including presentations.
Consults with multi-disciplinary treatment team on clinical issues.
Conducts assessments, treatment planning, treatment plan reviews and discharge planning.
Performs crisis intervention as needed.
Facilitates process group, individual sessions and family sessions.
Documents services for compliance with internal performance standards, and licensure standards.
Attends training sessions, conferences, and other program information-related activities.
Attends and participates in clinical meetings daily.
Participates in in-service training sessions as required by the agency.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Background in Intensive Residential Treatment.
Ability to relate to and work with individuals in early-stage recovery from addiction.
Solid knowledge, experience and/or certifications in chemical dependency treatment and dual diagnosis
Strong working knowledge of the 12-step program and process.
Effective verbal, written communication skills, and computer skills.
Strong organization skills, record keeping skills; computer knowledge required.
Leadership ability.
Knowledge of community resources for dual diagnosis.
Work well with a multi-disciplinary team.
Non-smoker.

Education and Experience:
Current LPC, LMSW or LCSW licensure.
5 years experience providing therapeutic services

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Communicates verbally with management, co-workers and the public in face-to face, one-to-one, and group settings.
Regularly uses e-mail and texting for communication.
Uses office equipment such as computer terminals, copiers, and fax machines.
Sits for extended time periods.
Hearing and vision within normal ranges.

Recovery Manager

The Arbor, a premier residential rehab facility, is in need of a full time Recovery Manager for its clientele. Below is a Job Description and necessary credentials needed.

Responsibilities:

A. Responsible for assisting clinical services team regarding the 12 Step process.
B. Explains to clients in detail the 12 Step process used at the facility.
C. Orders, prepares, and distributes 12 Step educational program materials.
D. Maintains adequate supplies, i.e. Big Books, Program Manuals, and other approved recovery materials.
E. Monitors and performs weekly progress reports of clients’ work through the 12 Step process.
F. Provides weekly updates to the Clinical Services team concerning clients’ progress with 12 Step work.
G. Schedules all off-site meetings.
H. Coordinates on-site meeting presenters and 12 Step speakers, including monthly community AA meetings.
I. Presents 12 Step educational sessions utilizing the Big Book, the 12 and 12, the 12 Step Process Workbook, and the Inventory packet.
J. Schedules all 12 Step related activities, i.e. recovery conferences, client 5th Step presentations.
K. Responsible for organizing alumni activities.
L. Oversees the performance of the Recovery Support Supervisor in regard to redirection and leadership within the client community

III. Minimum Job Qualifications:
A. Preferable LCDC
B. High School Diploma.
C. Valid Texas Driver’s License.
D. Good driving record.
E. Sufficient working knowledge of the 12 Step recovery philosophy; application of the 12 Step program; ability to teach, monitor and assist clients with completion of 12 Step Process Workbook
F. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team member.

Recovery Support Technician, part-time and full time for Overnight Shift (11:00 pm – 7:00 am)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Reconciles and audits all resident medication records.
  2. Inventories all over the counter medications for facility.
  3. Reports all medical incidents and/or concerns to the Director of Nursing.
  4. Conducts resident and facility safety checks.
  5. Communicates client behaviors with counseling staff/coordinators.
  6. Responds to problems and crisis according to facility procedures and behavior management guidelines.
  7. Various administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma and a working knowledge of 12-Step Program and Support
    Groups (A.A., C.A.)
  2. Interest and knowledge in chemical dependency.
  3. Ability to model appropriate boundaries.
  4. A valid Texas Driver’s License.
  5. A good driving record.
  6. Must have excellent communication skills
  7. Basic computer skills (MS Office / Outlook experience preferred)

Salary Range – $12/14 hr depending on experience

Recovery Support Technician, part time and full time for all  shifts including days, evenings and weekends

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor clients during structured and non-structured activities, promoting and ensuring client safety.
  2. Organize and monitor recreation and physical fitness activities.
  3. Monitor in-house meetings, such as study groups, 12 Step meetings, and client interactions.
  4. Facilitates step study lessons.
  5. Performs administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
  6. Facilitate client’s self-administration of medication and reconcile medication inventories.
  7. Communicate client behavior/interaction with counseling staff/coordinators.
  8. Transport clients to and from appointments and meetings.
  9. Respond to problems and crisis according to facility procedures and behavior management guidelines.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.
  11. Reports all medical incidents and/or concerns to the Director of Nursing.
